Total gross mass
Provide the total weight of all goods itemised in the transport document. The weight cannot be provided later in the document item details.
The gross mass is provided in kilograms and it is the weight of the goods including packaging but excluding the means of transport and containers. If the gross mass is below 1 kg, enter the value e.g. in the format “0,654”, but with no more than 6 decimals. If the weight exceeds 1 kg, you can round it off to the closest full kilogram.
Reference number (UCR)
If the consignor has issued a UCR (Unique Consignment Reference), which remains the same throughout the supply chain, provide it here. It can be a WCO (ISO 15459) code or some other similar code.
Under transport information, enter the required details. The transport document provided here as well as the MRN issued to the declaration and the goods item number are provided in the documents following temporary storage as previous document details. Read the detailed guidance below.
Transport document type
From the drop-down menu, select the transport document type under which the goods under temporary storage arrived for warehousing, for example ”N730” indicating road transport. Code “N730” for road transport can be used for movements inside harbours without a separate transport document.
Transport document number
Provide the transport document type under which the goods under temporary storage arrived for warehousing, for example the number of the road transport consignment note. For movements inside a harbour without a separate transport document, the document number can be indicated as “straddle carrier”.
Provide the cargo unit details by clicking “+ Add container”. The information can be provided as header level details concerning the whole declaration, as header level details of a house level transport document or in the goods item details. Provide the details only once.
- The container details can be provided at declaration header level concerning the whole declaration, if all the goods in the declaration are in the same container.
- The container details can be provided in the declaration header details of the house level transport document, if all goods in the house consignment are in the same container.
- The container details should be provided in the goods item details, if they have not been provided in the consignment details or the house consignment details.
If the goods are in a container at the time of declaration, enter the container ID under “Container identification number”. If the goods are in a swap body or semi-trailer, enter the number of the swap body or registration number of the semi-trailer. Provide the identification of a sea container using four letters + six digits + hyphen + check digit.
Provide the seal details by clicking “+ Add or show seals”. A new window will then open. Enter the number of the first seal in the “Seal number” section. If there are more seals, add a row by clicking “+ Add seal”, and enter the number of the second seal. When you have given the details of all seals, click “Save seals”. The window will close and you go back to your declaration. If you are declaring seals, the number of seals is filled in automatically in “Number of seals”.
Add details of passive means of transport
Passive means of transport refers to e.g. a lorry or an articulated vehicle loaded on board a sea vessel for a combined transport. Provide the information either on the item to cleared based on the transport document or on the item.
In the “Type of identification” menu, select the type of the passive means of transport, e.g. “30 – Road vehicle registration number”.
Under “Identification of means of transport”, enter the number or name of the passive means of transport according to the type you have selected.
If you need to provide additional information on house-level transport document, you can add it by clicking on “+Add information”. Select the additional information code in the drop-down menu for the field “Code”. Provide the information that the additional information code requires in the field “Description”. You can select more than one additional information code, if necessary.
If you have added an additional information code row by mistake, remove it by ticking the box next to the “Code” column and clicking on the button “Remove selected” above the rows.
